Another Summer Book Club Comes to a Close

Book club participants dove into three books: I Did a New Thing: 30 Days to Living Free by Tabitha Brown, This Could Be Us: Book 2 of the Skyland series by Kennedy Ryan, and Not Everyone is Going to Like You: Thoughts from a Former People Pleaser by Rinny Perkins.

Participants met weekly on Zoom to discuss the books. Some attended our culminating in person event on Saturday, August 10, 2024 where participants wrapped up their discussions and tried recipes included in book two.

Our next book club takes place in fall and is called Silenced Stories where we aim to highlight stories that should be better known. There are only two books for this club: Parable of the Talents by Octavia E. Butler and Don’t Let Them Bury My Story: The Oldest Living Survivor of the Tulsa Massacre in Her Own Words by Viola Ford Fletcher.
