Blazing Brilliance’s tagline is “empowering minds one resource at a time,” and one of the education resources we offer is the podcast Brazen Education. First launched in 2018, this podcast provides discussion and solutions on several education topics from the perspectives of teachers, students, and families.

Blazing Brilliance empowers individuals in education, and one way it achieves this goal is through a program for new teachers. Known as the New Teacher Academy, this program provides professional development, increases new teachers’ retention, and offers them the support they need. There are two tracks to choose from.

I am currently reading the Land of Oz books, and I finished book three Ozma of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

A better title for this book would have been Dorothy Returns. Ozma’s name is on the cover, but she is really a side character.

I currently reading the Land of Oz books, and I finished book two The Marvelous Land of Oz by L. Frank Baum. (Please note: I purchased my set from a UK company which is why marvelous is spelled with two ls.)

The book brought me little joy.

November 2024, Wicked Part I premiered in theaters. Before I saw the Wicked musical film twice, I saw the musical Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz years ago. The musical is based on the novelWicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. This novel is based on the characters in L Frank Baum’s The Wizard of Oz.

Refusing Compulsory Sexuality: A Black Asexual Lens on Our Sex-Obsessed Culture by Sherronda J. Brown is a book all adults should read. I also believe this book would be good for high school students to read and process with their parents and caregivers.
